Cartoonist and popular YouTuber Chimchakman (real name Lee Byung-geon) was beaten by AKMU member Lee Chan-hyuk.
On the 7th, the YouTube channel ‘Chimchakman’ live broadcast featured AKMU members Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun, as well as science communicator Gwedo. On that live broadcast, the ‘punch like King Kong’ technique that Lee Chan-hyuk had previously mentioned on the ‘Chimchakman’ channel was reenacted.

In a past Chimchakman live broadcast, Lee Chan-hyuk said, “There is a technique called (I punch like King Kong to Lee Su-hyun),” and explained, “It is a motion where you spin your body like a top while throwing punches, and for it to stop, Su-hyun has to get hit a few times,” which drew attention for their ‘real-life siblings’ chemistry.
On the broadcast that day, Chimchakman said he wanted to try the technique on Gwedo and asked Lee Chan-hyuk to practice, and Lee Chan-hyuk gave a direct demonstration on Chimchakman.
Shouting, “I punch like King Kong to Chimchakman,” Lee Chan-hyuk immediately threw punches, and Chimchakman ran away to avoid them. However, Lee Chan-hyuk did not stop, spinning like a top and pursuing him to the end, eliciting laughter.
Chimchakman shouted, “I got hit, so why are you not stopping?” looking flustered, and Lee Su-hyun, who was watching, burst into laughter, saying, “Are you sure this is emotionless?” which made the scene even more cheerful.
Netizens reacted with comments such as, “Chan-hyuk is sincere about everything, which makes it even funnier,” “They call it a King Kong punch, and he really hits with his soul,” and “It is fortunate (?) that Chimchakman got hit instead of Gwedo,” showing intense interest.

Meanwhile, the group AKMU released its fourth studio album ‘Bloom’ on April 7, the twelfth anniversary of its debut. It is the first album they have presented since leaving YG Entertainment after 12 years and establishing their own label ‘Well of Inspiration.’ The album contains 11 tracks, including the title track ‘Joy, Sorrow, Beautiful Heart,’ which interprets the light and shade of everyday life in their own sensibility.
