The idol group CORTIS unveiled visuals with a new texture in Los Angeles. The newly opened photos, without a set concept, strongly convey a ‘raw’ feel that highlights their unadorned style.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, Geonho) on the 7th unveiled on the group’s social media the second album photos for their second mini album, ‘GREENGREEN’, titled ‘STREET’ (street).
Whereas the first album photos, ‘BRIDGE’ (bridge), released on the 6th, used spaces filled with memories from before their debut as the backdrop, ‘STREET’ depicts little escapes on the streets of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is the city where the five members stayed for several months to work on their debut album and second mini album. The album photos were shot on streets near the studio where they actually held a song camp. The photos clearly reveal the memories they built here and the sense of liberation they felt while co-creating music, choreography, and video.

The members lie comfortably on the street, gazing into the camera. The unconventional choice of locations and poses hints at a team that steps outside others’ gaze and the standards set by the world.
The individual shots also draw attention with a free-spirited mood. Martin playfully adjusts his shoes in the middle of the road, and James casually perches on a building’s exterior wall.
Juhun lounges languidly on the stairs, Seonghyeon naturally sweeps back his hair in front of a red brick house, and Geonho squats atop a roadside fixture; the varied backdrops and poses feel fresh.
Following ‘BRIDGE’, the ‘STREET’ version also strips away flashy makeup and contrived concepts. The members wear the T-shirts, jeans, hoodies, and sneakers they usually favor. As a result, the photos exude CORTIS’s innate vibe, comfortable yet distinctive.

In tandem with the photo reveal, CORTIS is running a promotion using Google Maps reviews. A designated member directly leaves a review-style note about the locations in the photos.
On the 7th, at coordinates for a Los Angeles street, Martin posted, “When our energy ran low while working, this was the road we always took to go to a grocery store. There is a delicious pho place nearby, so on days we finished early, we ate there a few times.”
He also said about the photos, “From hair and makeup to styling, it feels like we showed you our look as-is, vivid and rough (raw & rough), even better.”
CORTIS will release their second mini album, ‘GREENGREEN’, on May 4. They worked intensely to strip away what the team is wary of and to capture what they genuinely pursue. The album contains six tracks in total, and among them, the title track ‘REDRED’ and its music video will be pre-released at 6 p.m. on April 20. The new record is drawing global attention, surpassing 600,000 pre-saves on the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify within a month.
