Ampersand One (Na Camden, Brian, Choi Ji-ho, Yoon Si-yoon, Kairel, Makaya, Kim Seung-mo) member Na Camden shared his impressions after filming the music video.
Asked about filming the music video for the title track ‘Gat’ at the showcase held on the afternoon of the 8th at Sky Art Hall Nodeul Island Live House in Yongsan-gu, Seoul to mark the release of the 4th mini album ‘Definition’ (Definition), Na Camden said, “We did a lot of wound makeup. I even tried makeup that looked like the wound was stitched, and it was hard to remove.”
He said, “Even after removing the makeup, red marks kept remaining,” adding, “They were still there the next day, and it turned out the red color had stained my face.”
He continued, “I was very worried, but fortunately it all washed off the next day. I am honored to be able to show this face.”
Choi Ji-ho explained, “There were many fight scenes in the music video, and there was a scene where Yoon Si-yoon brought a brick down on Brian’s head. It looks dangerous, but it was actually a brick made of misutgaru. Keeping that in mind will make it fun to watch.”
Brian also recalled, “Yoon Si-yoon felt really sorry. After acting the scene, he seemed to feel bad and even gave me a heat pack and looked after me.”
‘Definition’ is an album that captures Ampersand One reflecting on the group’s present and defining the direction ahead. The title track ‘Gat’ (God) stands out with ethnic synth sounds over a trap beat, and the word ‘gat’ carries a double meaning, referring to the traditional Korean ‘gat’. The meeting of East-tinged sounds and the dance genre creates a distinctive sonic intersection. In addition, the album, which includes a total of six tracks, will be released at 6 p.m. today on online music sites nationwide.
