Actor Kim Min, who appears in director Jang Hang-jun’s film “The Man Who Lives with the King” (hereinafter ‘Wangsa-nam’), will attempt the first ceremonial pitch of his career.
Kim Min will take the mound for the ceremonial first pitch in the 2026 KBO League matchup between the KIA Tigers and Samsung Lions, held at Gwangju-KIA Champions Field at 6:30 p.m. on the 8th.
Making his debut ceremonial pitch at KIA’s home ballpark adds significance. Through his agency J,WIDE Company, he said, “As a longtime fan of KIA, I’m honored to be invited as the ceremonial pitcher. I cheer for KIA to make a strong leap forward this season and post good results. I also hope all the players take the field without injuries.”
Having appeared in ‘Wangsa-nam’ as Taesan, the son of Eom Heung-do (Yoo Hae-jin), a film that has surpassed a cumulative 16.12 million admissions, Kim Min also recently contributed to the rerelease of the 2023 film “Rebound,” further expanding his presence as an actor.
The game between KIA and Samsung, at which Kim Min will serve as the ceremonial pitcher, will be held today (the 8th) at 6:30 p.m. at Gwangju-KIA Champions Field.
