Huh Yunjin of the group LE SSERAFIM has come under fire.

According to Newsen and other outlets on the 6th, on the 5th Huh Yunjin broke off flowers in Hangang Park during a Weverse live broadcast, was called out by a viewer, and apologized.

During the broadcast, she said, "I want to make a bouquet," and broke off flowers. When she tried to snap them by hand and failed, she took out scissors she had with her and cut the flowers. She went on, "I'll make a bouquet and take it to work."

As fans watching the broadcast voiced concern, Huh said, "Is it illegal to pick flowers at the Hangang?" and, "I am really so sorry. If that's true, I am really so sorry - shh, let's keep it a secret." She stopped after apologizing, but the footage spread across online communities.

Picking flowers in Hangang Park is indeed illegal. Under Article 17 of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Basic Ordinance on the Conservation and Use of Hangang Park, those who are caught illegally collecting flowers or fruit from plants within the park are subject to a 50,000 won fine.

Not only Hangang Park but also picking flowers in ordinary urban parks or from street trees is regarded as damaging protected plants and is subject to enforcement.

On online communities, users showed some support with comments such as "They're wildflowers, so isn't it okay?" and "Not even the dandelions by the roadside?", while others reacted, "Broadcasting picking flowers on Arbor Day," "Watching her cut flowers with scissors is uncomfortable," and "Idols shouldn't act thoughtlessly."
