Actor Joo Ji-Hoon commented on the ‘Pinggaego’ video that became a hot topic.

On the 7th, during an interview about ENA’s MondayTuesday drama ‘Climax’ held at ENA’s conference room in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Joo Ji-Hoon addressed his appearance on the ‘Pinggaego’ corner of the YouTube channel Tteuntteun, saying with a laugh, “It was not promotion for ‘Climax’ at all. I received the offer a long time ago, and I said I would do it with everyone, but it fell through because the schedules did not match. Still, since the timing lined up, I am grateful it turned into promotion.”

The content titled ‘100-Minute Talk is Pinggaego,’ released on the 14th of last month, featured Joo Ji-Hoon together with Kim Nam-Gil and Yoon Kyung-Ho, who were picked as the ‘Top 3 Most Talkative Actors,’ chatting together. Despite its long running time of 1 hour and 54 minutes, as of the 8th it has surpassed 11.79 million views and gained huge popularity.

Regarding being grouped with Kim Nam-Gil and Yoon Kyung-Ho as ‘talkative actors,’ Joo Ji-Hoon said, “If you watch the video, you knowit is displeasing. I am a victim. The edited cut is two hours, but we recorded for over three hours. My portion is literally everything that appears in that video, because I do not say anything unnecessary,” drawing laughter.

In response to the joke that, unlike on set or in media interviews, he was far too quiet, he quipped, “Perhaps I am lacking instincts as a variety entertainer,” and added, “I learned a lot this time working together. I realized you have to tell it so there is some kind of episode to it.”

He continued, “I may feel like I talk a lot on set, but in fact I only say what is necessary. When there is something to ask for or convey, that is when I talk more, whereas Nam-Gil keeps talking like a child who has just begun to speak. When I actually talk with Kyung-Ho, I cut him off,” boasting of the trio’s distinctive closeness.

As for the video going viral, he said candidly, “I did not anticipate the popularity at all. Because when Kyung-Ho talks, it was dull. Of course he speaks in a flavorful way, but since I always hear it, it was predictable for me. But for people hearing it for the first time, it was fun.”

Regarding Kim Nam-Gil’s remark that at the get-together after the ‘Pinggaego’ shoot Joo Ji-Hoon was the one who talked the most, he added, “He just does not remember what he himself said,” once again prompting laughter.

Finally, when asked whether his performance was an attempt to go for the Grand Prize at the ‘Pinggaego’ awards, he offered a cool-headed analysis that brought big laughs: “The star of that video is Kyung-Ho. I am a rational person. Considering my screen time and what I did, I do not think I could go for the Grand Prize. Someone like Nam-Gil is the type to expect the Grand Prize.”
