Global pop star HEYOON is gearing up for the release of her new EP ‘seriously unserious’.

Universal Music said, “Since her solo debut in 2024, HEYOON has been active globally, and as her first project of the year she will release the EP ‘seriously unserious’ on April 15.”

An overseas artist with a distinctive presence in the global music scene is set to participate in the title track. Before the music release, on the 8th, HEYOON will unveil ‘Guess Who’ content on her social media channels to encourage guesses about the featuring artist. She will then signal her full-fledged return with EP-teasing content and more.

The artist's side said, “In the EP ‘seriously unserious’, we captured across four tracks the playful and free-spirited message of ‘set aside complicated thoughts for a while and surrender to your instincts as you enjoy the party (leave your brain @home and party)’,” adding, “Listeners can expect exotic sounds flowing throughout the work blended with modern house beats,” raising expectations for the new EP.

Alongside the new music release, HEYOON announced her appearance on a domestic variety program. HEYOON has confirmed she will appear on tvN, ‘Kill It: Style Creator War’, a new large-scale survival variety show.

Through the broadcast, she plans to showcase not only the solid skills she has built on global stages, but also a range of charms she has not previously shown. The program is scheduled to air in May.
