Global hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC is unveiling a new compilation album for the first time in about six years.
H1GHR MUSIC RECORDS (hereinafter H1GHR MUSIC) will release the new full-length compilation album ‘PURPLE TAPE (Purple Tape)’ at 6 p.m. on the 9th.
‘PURPLE TAPE’ is H1GHR MUSIC’s first compilation album in roughly six years since ‘RED TAPE (Red Tape)’ and ‘BLUE TAPE (Blue Tape)’, both released in 2020, and is a project that distills the label’s relationships and modes of collaboration built over the years. True to a title that evokes the color PURPLE created by mixing RED and BLUE, it blends the hard-hitting, impactful hip-hop sound of ‘RED TAPE’ with the smooth, lyrical sensibility of ‘BLUE TAPE’, presenting an expanded expression of the spectrum H1GHR MUSIC has cultivated.
Its bold scale and structurepromoting all 15 tracks as title tracksstand out. Across the tracks, four H1GHR MUSIC artistspH-1, lIlBOI, Woodie Gochild, and BIG Naughty (Seo Dong-hyun)showcase their distinct personalities and styles. Among them, ‘MO LESSON (Mo Lesson) (Feat. Park Jae-beom)’ features Park Jae-beom, and ‘OVERNIGHT (Overnight) (Feat. Ju Hye-rin)’ features Ju Hye-rin, further enhancing the album’s completeness.

Ahead of the release, pH-1, lIlBOI, Woodie Gochild, and BIG Naughty are presenting a variety of content. Through H1GHR MUSIC’s official YouTube channel, music videos for two tracks‘SUPERSTAR (Superstar)’ and ‘FOCKIT (Fock It)’were pre-released, and, along with campaign films capturing each artist’s story, the album cover image and tracklist image have also been unveiled. On the 7th, they appeared on the Hippla Radio live broadcast and surprised fans by hinting at the future release of a deluxe edition of the compilation.
pH-1, lIlBOI, Woodie Gochild, and BIG Naughty will release the compilation album ‘PURPLE TAPE’ via various online music platforms at 6 p.m. on the 9th. Later that day at 10 p.m., they will meet fans at a release partyan offline event commemorating the launch of ‘PURPLE TAPE’at THE HENZ CLUB in Hongdae, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
