Actor Park Seong-il appeared in ’Climax’ as the ’Shadow,’ a figure holding a key to the presidential race, and continued his powerful run.
In episode 8 of ’Climax,’ which aired on the 7th, Park Seong-il fully emerged as the closest aide and concealed ’shadow’ of leading presidential contender Son Guk-won (played by Joo Jin-mo), subtly presenting a dangerous figure who hides his identity and heightening immersion. He revealed a weighty presence as someone who handles everything from managing Son Guk-won’s vast slush funds to mysterious cases and suspicious deaths related to CDK stock manipulation.
Arrested on an emergency warrant amid a special counsel investigation orchestrated by Bang Tae-seop (played by Ju Ji-hoon) to bring down Son Guk-won, Park Seong-il remained utterly unshaken even in the tension-filled interrogation room, drawing attention with his composure as he told the prosecutor, “Run forensics or whatever you need. You won’t catch me anyway.”
Meeting Bang Tae-seop, who had come to find him as he was leaving the prosecutors’ office, Park Seong-il showed no change in expression despite his cajoling and threats, saying, “Tone down the fiction,” then offering a sardonic smile.
