‘I Am SOLO’(I Am Solo) Class 31 has opened the gates to a full-fledged romance war.
On the 8th episode of ENA and SBS Plus’ real dating program ‘Solonara No. 31’, the occupations and ages of 14 single men and women were revealed through self-introductions. Even after the introductions, Kyung-su remained at the center of attention, and the singles who began to move hearts in different ways were depicted in an intriguing way.
On the first evening in ‘Solonara No. 31’, Sun-ja showed an industrious side by even bringing seasonings on the shopping list and worked hard in the kitchen. Watching this, Young-su expressed interest, saying, “Ms. Sun-ja also seems like someone who keeps working.” Immediately afterward, he confessed in an interview with the production team, “For now, aside from Ms. Sun-ja, there is no one who catches my eye yet.” At the dinner table, a cheerful mood formed under Ok-sun’s lead. Ok-sun, who said her MBTI is ‘E’ (extrovert), appealed, “I am actually an ‘I’ (introvert) collector!” saying she approaches introverted people more proactively. In fact, Ok-sun radiated lively charm between two ‘I’ men, Young-ho and Sang-cheol. Young-cheol also grew closer to his ‘first-impression one-pick’, Young-sook, by making her a custom highball, and in front of the production team, Young-sook hinted that her interest in him had grown, saying, “I felt a flutter, thinking he might be this attentive.”
Meanwhile, Kyung-su nonchalantly enjoyed the attention pouring in from the women. When Young-ja asked, “Have you ever been told you look like Gong Yoo?”, he could not hide a smile as he said, “We are in big trouble, really~.” Watching this, MC Defconn joked jealously, “Because he is handsome, he does not even work; he just puts his hands in his pockets and talks~,” drawing laughs. Soon after, in an interview, Sun-ja wondered about Kyung-su, saying, “If we keep talking and get closer, might there be some new side that only I can see?”, and Young-sook also showed interest by responding to Kyung-su’s ‘small talk’ with a ‘big reaction’. When the meal ended, Kyung-su wiped off the foam that had splashed onto Jeong-suk’s face as she washed the dishes, and he also peeled a tangerine and handed it to her naturally. Around the same time, Young-sook and Young-cheol continued a deeper conversation. Once breakfast ended, ‘self-introduction time’ finally began. First, Young-su said, “I am an automobile designer, and my hobbies are mixed martial arts, boxing, and marathons,” adding, “Rather than someone pretty, I want to meet someone cool and build a family.” Young-ho is a third-year dentist who opened a clinic in Ulsan and revealed a sensitive side by saying, “I like music and movies more than activities. I even cry while gaming.” Young-sik, an IT project manager, appealed, “I can take responsibility for family and childcare.” Young-cheol, who works at H Steel, said, “I want to date comfortably like friends.” Kwang-su, an engineer at S Electronics, drew reactions of ‘romantic’ by emphasizing, “If it were a long-distance relationship, I could resign and move there.” Sang-cheol, a 10-year lawyer, revealed, “A quick marriage is my goal,” and Kyung-su, an optical shop operator, stirred the women by saying, “There are four people I want to get to know.”
The women likewise boasted solid careers and diverse appeal. Young-sook said, “I am working as a manager at a public corporation, and on weekends I tour real estate. I am goal-oriented and have a challenging disposition.” Jeong-suk, a ballet instructor, cited “someone I can respect” as her ideal type. Sun-ja, a book designer, showed both sensitivity and practical life skills through poetry recitation and cooking. Young-ja, who works at a civil engineering company, appealed with strong life skills. Ok-sun belongs to an airline’s strategic planning team and drew attention by revealing that she even served as a spokesperson for a major presidential candidate in the past. Hyun-sook revealed top-tier credentials as an 11th-year manager at a state-run bank, and Jeong-hee, a Germany-educated automobile designer, showed a straightforward approach to dating.
After the self-introductions, the women gathered in a room to share their true feelings. There, Young-ja voiced a dilemma: “I think everyone will flock to Mr. Kyung-su, so should I go with the safer Mr. Young-sik?” Sun-ja also said, “There is almost no change,” and said she would get to know Kyung-su, Young-ho, and even Young-su, who showed interest in her. In the men’s quarters, Young-su said, “I became curious about Ms. Jeong-hee, who has the same job,” and Young-cheol conveyed that he had grown more interested in the more stable Young-ja rather than the proactive Young-sook. Young-sik likewise showed a change of heart by saying, “I think Ms. Sun-ja and I are a little mismatched.” Kyung-su revealed, “I want to get to know three people: Young-sook, Jeong-suk, and Jeong-hee.”
