The original author of “Becoming a Legend as a Cookhouse Soldier” cheered the casting of “ten-million actor” Park Ji-hoon.
On the 8th, J Robin, the original author of “Becoming a Legend as a Cookhouse Soldier,” posted on their SNS, along with a photo: “Actor Park Ji-hoon, who gathered all the luck of my life for me. Thank you for choosing my work. Thanks to you, I’m happy all year long! I’m truly happier than the day I was discharged from the military.”
The photo showed a screenshot of an article naming Park Ji-hoon No. 1 in the “Rising Actor Brand Reputation March Rankings.”
Earlier, J Robin expressed joy by saying, “I’ve used up all my lifetime luck,” and added, “He looks like he tore his way out of the novel cover. I’m hugely looking forward to his acting,” not hiding their anticipation for the project.
Meanwhile, the TVING original “Becoming a Legend as a Cookhouse Soldier” is based on the popular web novel and webtoon of the same name. It is a military comedy drama that follows a cookhouse soldierwielding a chef’s knife instead of a rifle and wearing an apron instead of an ammo beltwho grows into a legend by following a mysterious ‘quest screen.’ In the series, Park Ji-hoon plays ‘Kang Seong-jae,’ a young man who has lived diligently despite a difficult family background.
It will premiere domestically and globally on May 11.
