On ‘The Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3’, ‘newlywed’ On Joo-wan and KwakTube jump into an impromptu contest to hear their wives say ‘I love you’, stirring interest.
At 9:10 p.m. on Friday the 10th, episode 26 of the full-on real street-food mockumentary ‘The Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3’ (co-produced by MBN·Channel S·SK Broadband) sees Jun Hyun-moo and KwakTube (Kwak Jun-bin) kick off a ‘Fun City’ Daejeon special, while ‘the son of Daejeon’ On Joo-wan freely shares the love story that culminated in marriage with Minah of Girl's Day.
That day, the three visit a Hamheung naengmyeon restaurant boasting a 70-year tradition. After ordering cold noodles and bulgogi, Jun Hyun-moo immediately digs into the backstory of On Joo-wan and his marriage. On Joo-wan reveals, “We dated for five years and then got married. It was not a secret relationship, and even though we walked around holding hands, no dating rumors came out”. Jun Hyun-moo then quips, “I get dating rumors even when I am not seeing anyone…”, playing up his unfair lot and drawing laughs. Amid the upbeat chemistry, On Joo-wan recalls their first meeting on the drama ‘Beautiful Gong Shim’ ten years ago, saying, “I was 34 then, and Minah was 24. As time passed, we met again in a musical…”, bringing up the dating story that led to marriage.
As the vibe heats into ‘love-love’ mode, Jun Hyun-moo proposes an on-the-spot ‘newlywed match’. The newlyweds On Joo-wan and KwakTube embark on a mission to call their wives and hear the confession “I love you”. Shortly after, when Minah picks up, Jun Hyun-moo asks, “What did you like so much about Joo-wan?”, and she answers, “He is handsome~”, instantly turning the scene into a ‘cheesy zone(?)’. Furthermore, Jun Hyun-moo carefully asks, “When might the baby come?”, and Minah deftly requests, “Please make sure my husband eats well~”, showing off their ‘newlywed bliss’. Suddenly feeling deflated, Jun Hyun-moo calls someone, then soon, as if he has let everything go, focuses on slurping Hamheung naengmyeon, eliciting bittersweet laughs. Watching this, KwakTube gently disses him, saying, “That is a new-concept slurp. It looks like a magic show”, sending the place into an uproar.
