Channel A ‘Groom Class 2’
On ‘Groom Class 2’, Lee Jeong-Jin embarks on a ‘bold blind date’ with a foreign woman.
Episode 4 of Channel A ‘Groom Class 2’ (CP Bae Han-Su, PD Lim Jeong-Gyu), airing at 10 p.m. on the 9th (today), will show returning student Lee Jeong-Jin, who has declared a ‘fresh attempt at dating’, heading into a blind date with a new mindset.
That day, through an introduction from a close junior colleague, Lee Jeong-Jin waits at a cafe in Dumulmeori, Yangpyeong, for his date to arrive. Far from being nervous, he hums to himself, and the ‘studio mentor team’ Lee Seung-Cheol and Tak Jae-Hoon marvel, saying, “He definitely has the composure of a veteran.” However, once his date appears, Lee Jeong-Jin falls into a ‘brain freeze’, unable to easily offer a greeting. His blind date turns out to be a ‘foreigner’ with striking blonde hair and a tall stature. Lee Jeong-Jin admits, “At first, I only heard (the other person) name before coming out, so I was really flustered,” and Tak Jae-Hoon adds, “I was only thinking about how to make something fun out of the date partner’s name, and I never imagined a situation like this,” causing a ‘reaction malfunction’ on set.

In the studio, Lee Seung-Cheol asks Lee Jeong-Jin in earnest, “Do you think you can handle an international relationship?” Lee Jeong-Jin shows an open mind, saying, “In fact, I have experience with international relationships, and there is someone in my family who had an international marriage.” He continues candidly, “In the past, I dated women from Brazil and France. Even when the language did not connect, if you have the will, conversation still happens.” At Lee Jeong-Jin’s frank remarks, Tak Jae-Hoon sends a ‘shout-out’, saying, “You are the true teacher. Let us switch seats; I am not qualified,” filling the set with laughter.
Meanwhile, at the blind date, his counterpart shows fluent Korean and skillfully leads the conversation, and Lee Jeong-Jin smiles sheepishly, saying, “It seems I am worse at Korean.” In particular, shedding the ‘straight-arrow’ persona he has shown so far, Lee Jeong-Jin displays attentive manners and strong initiative, earning praise from Lee Seung-Cheol: “This is the most proactive blind date scene I have seen.” With Lee Seung-Cheol’s ‘genuine reaction’ of “Our Jeong-Jin is so lucky…”, attention focuses on Lee Jeong-Jin’s blind date.
Channel A ‘Groom Class 2’, which features Lee Jeong-Jin’s ‘dogged-determination’ blind date as well as the ‘post-blind-date’ outing of Seo Jun-Young X Jeong Jae-Gyeong, airs at 10 p.m. on the 9th (today).
