Kim Min-kyung, an actor who won the Miss Korea Jin title, has become an expectant mother at age 45.
On the 9th, Kim Min-kyung posted on her social media Instagram, “I never thought I would end up coming out about being pregnant at this age. A precious child has come.” She also attached ultrasound and pregnancy test photos.
The photo she shared contains the phrase ‘Baby is coming!’ (Baby is coming!, 2026). She said she is currently in her 14th week of pregnancy, having entered a stable period.
Kim said, “I believe God answered that my father is happy in the embrace of the Lord,” expressing her deep affection for her late father.
She added, “Please offer many prayers so the baby can stay healthy in the mother’s womb as now and come into the world.”
Kim also added the hashtag ‘Dolphin’. This is understood to refer to the fetal nickname (prenatal name). The dolphin symbolizes high intelligence and deep family love, conveying a wish for the health and wisdom of the child.
Born in 1981, Kim Min-kyung debuted in the entertainment industry in 2001 when she was selected as Miss Korea Jin. She has since appeared in dramas such as ‘Mom Has Grown Horns’, ‘Childless Comfort’, and ‘Eve's Love’. On November 16, 2024, she married a non-celebrity.
Currently also active as the head of a wedding dress company, she appeared as Yuseon, a mother with a middle school daughter, in the road movie ‘Moonwalk’, released in January 2025. About a year after portraying a mother on screen, she is now set to become a mother in real life.
