Actor Oh Dong-min delivers an impressive performance in the film ‘Salmokji’.
Released on the 8th, ‘Salmokji’ is a horror film in which an unidentified object appears on the road-view service of a map application, and a crew heading to a reservoir for a reshoot encounters something inexplicable.
Oh Dong-min plays Song Gyeong-jun, a former member of the special-operations unit SSU. He is a bold figure who does not back down in the face of danger, a rough-tempered person who remains unflinching not only on set but also before an unknown presence.
These traits manifest as heightened alertness under extreme circumstances, raising the tension of the narrative. In particular, the storyline involving his older brother Song Gyeong-tae (Kim Young-seong) gives dimensional depth to the emotional arc of the character.
With unwavering eyes and rough breathing, Oh Dong-min brings out the nature of the character and maintains a commanding presence even within the horror genre. Having shown range across drama and film, spanning both protagonists and antagonists, he once again completes the character with a style all his own.
‘Salmokji’, featuring Oh Dong-min alongside Kim Hye-yoon, Lee Jong-won, Jang Da-a, Yoon Jae-chan, and Kim Jun-han, is now playing in theaters.
