BTS is captivating the world with their unrivaled performance prowess. A string of newly released choreography content for their latest songs has drawn an explosive response, once again proving the power of these ‘world-class performers’.
Starting on the 27th of last month with the dance practice video for the title track ‘SWIM’, BTS released in succession the music video and dance practice video for the track ‘2.0’, and the music video for ‘Hooligan’. By presenting dances of completely different textures for each song, they showcase an infinite performance capacity that only BTS can deliver.
In ‘SWIM’, they render the contemplative lyrics with fluid, delicate expression. The performance adds a clean impact to relaxed, naturally flowing movements, revealing BTS’s mature sensibility. The choreographies for ‘2.0’ and ‘Hooligan’, unveiled afterward, showcase the group’s signature ‘razor-sharp synchrony’. ‘2.0’ is defined by weighty movements and perfect control of dynamics; the way they modulate power along a meticulously structured arc conveys solidity and poise. The group choreography in ‘Hooligan’ is truly overwhelming. Performing in unison with dozens of dancers, they unleash explosive energy and polished gestures that deliver a full-body thrill.
Within a day of release, the performance videos for ‘SWIM’ and ‘2.0’ surpassed 6 million and 4 million views on YouTube, respectively. The music video for ‘Hooligan’ blew past 8 million views even before 24 hours had elapsed, proving its explosive buzz. Adding to this, ‘‘SWIM’ Live Clip II. Swimming Pool ver.’, which racked up nearly 10 million views in a week, is drawing popularity and further heightening anticipation for BTS’s shows.
