Global iconic band hrtz.wav proved fully realized capabilities as they debuted, taking a powerful first step.
Kakao Entertainment (co-CEOs Ko Jeong-hee and Jang Yoon-jung) announced that global band hrtz.wav released their first mini album ‘The First Wave’ on the 8th and successfully held a debut fan showcase at the performance venue at Culture Tank in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The showcase was livestreamed via global K-pop media 1theK (Wonder K) and Mnet Plus, sharing the excitement with more fans in real time.
hrtz.wav presented all six tracks from the album with vivid band sound, including the title track ‘NINETEEN’, members Lian and Dane’s self-composed song ‘Clueless’, the fan song ‘Our Story (Close To Me)’, as well as ‘Dream’, ‘I AM SO FINE’, and ‘Highlight’. The high-caliber stage, which captured hrtz.wav’s authenticity and musical confidence intact, drew a fervent response from fans on site as well as global fans watching online.
Celebrating their debut with an instrument ceremony, hrtz.wav shared meaningful thoughts on the debut: “While preparing the stage, we were thrilled and impatient because we wanted to show it to you as quickly as possible. We are happy to debut with such great members. Thanks to all of you who have always supported us, our dream is just beginning now.”

They also spent time “tuning their frequency” with fans through various segments. In line with the meaning of the title track ‘NINETEEN’, they introduced a segment in which each member showcased his charm for 19 seconds, and they further enhanced the pleasure of watching and listening by defining each track’s frequency. In particular, quoting the lyrics of ‘Our Story’ and ‘Highlight’, they conveyed their ambition and sincerity: “This moment is our first page and our highlight,” and “We want to build the narrative ahead together with you. All that remains is to race ahead.”
‘The First Wave’ is an album in which the five members - Yoon Young-jun (keyboard), Lian (vocal), Dane (bass), Kayten (guitar), and Hagiwa (drums) - who boast outstanding role-specific prowess and distinct frequencies and personalities, send a powerful first wave across the world. It unpacks the many colors of youth - endlessly fluttering like nineteen, clumsy in love, and aching in parting - through hrtz.wav’s unique dynamic band sound. After release, all six tracks entered the Melon HOT100 (within 30 days of release) chart, signaling hrtz.wav’s strong start.
hrtz.wav will appear on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’, airing at 6 p.m. that day, unveiling the stages for ‘NINETEEN’ and ‘Clueless’ for the first time on a music show and kicking off full-fledged debut promotions.
