An urban sound capturing the mood of Seoul’s night
Influencer and singer Park Gi-pyo has released the new track ‘Sky Lounge Chill’ as a collaborative project with artist Lee Won-ju, who is active in Itaewon, and the Korean Women Tax Accountants Association.
The song is a City Pop track grounded in Future House that captures the glamour, solitude, and free-spirited mood of Seoul’s nights, offering a polished take on the lounge scenes of Itaewon and Gangnam.
It translates into music the feelings of wrapping up the day beneath late-night lounge lights amid a forest of downtown buildings awash in neon. A warm mood layers over sleek rhythms, while dreamy synths accentuate the urban sensibility.
Regarding the track, Park Gi-pyo said, “Seoul at night is not just about glamour; it is a space where each person’s emotions dwell,” adding, “I wanted to express in music the ease, solitude, and freedom felt while winding down the day.”
This project was carried out in collaboration with the Korean Women Tax Accountants Association. It carries added significance in that it was conceived as a cultural-content project that goes beyond simple track production to fuse emotion and expertise.
The music video naturally incorporates footage of influencer Park Gi-pyo receiving makeup and taking the stage himself at the Andre Kim Atelier& Park Ji-yoon Dress fashion show in the past. Memories of stepping onto the stage under dazzling lights gently infuse the video’s emotional arc, heightening immersion.
Park Gi-pyo said, “The lights, the tension, and the emotions of the moment I felt when I once stood on stage are still vivid,” adding, “In this music video, I wanted to naturally unfold that sensibility against the backdrop of Seoul’s night.”
‘Sky Lounge Chill’ was conceived as a soundtrack that goes beyond simple club music, capturing the private emotional currents of people living in the city. It is seen as translating the sensibilities of modern individuals who spend time for themselves amid dazzling lights into refined sound.
