Singer Hong Ji-yoon will serve as a special MC for ‘The Trot Show’.

Hong Ji-yoon will take on special MC duties for the first live broadcast of SBS Life ‘2026 The Trot Show’ on the 13th (hereinafter ‘The Trot Show’).

‘The Trot Show’, which began airing in February 2021, is the first trot ranking program in South Korea and has established itself as a chart show enjoyed across generations. As ‘The Trot Show’ returns in 2026, Hong Ji-yoon will step in as special host to meet music fans and viewers.

With polished hosting skills built through diverse experience, along with quick wit and savvy, her many-sided charm is expected to amplify the fun of ‘The Trot Show’. She previously served as regular MC of ‘The Trot Show Rival Showdown’, special MC on KBS 2TV ‘New Release Pyeonstorang’, and special DJ on various radio programs.

On MBN ‘Active Singer King 3’, which concluded on March 10, she won the final and became the third ‘Active Singer King’. Riding that momentum, she ranked No. 1 in the integrated TV-OTT non-drama performer buzz category for the second week of March as announced by Good Data Corporation FUNdex (FUNdex), proving her status as a leading trot star.

Recently, through the nationwide tour concerts of ‘Active Singer King 3’, she has been meeting fans across the country and was selected as a model for a popular game, demonstrating presence across fields. In addition to ‘The Trot Show’, she will also appear on MBN ‘2026 Korea-Japan King of Singers Match’, which premieres on the 14th, continuing a busy streak.

‘2026 The Trot Show’, featuring Hong Ji-yoon as special MC, will premiere at 8 p.m. on Monday, April 13 on SBS Life.
