KBS2 miniseries ‘Simu-myeon Yeonri-ri’
Yeonri-ri is abuzz over the Park Sung-woong family’s runaway commotion.
In episode 3 of the KBS2 miniseries ‘Simu-myeon Yeonri-ri’ (directed by Choi Yeon-su / written by Song Jeong-rim, Wang Hye-ji / produced by Sim Story), airing at 9:50 p.m. on the 9th, Seong Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong) and Cho Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung) dash around Yeonri-ri to find their two runaway sons.
In the previous episode, Seong Tae-hoon faced a crisis in his cabbage farming due to interference from Im Ju-hyeong (played by Lee Seo-hwan). Having become the village’s outsider, he refused to give up and, after research he threw his whole body into, including substituting fertilizer with cow manure, he succeeded in sprouting cabbage. However, just as the taut standoff between the two men reached its peak, the Seong family’s daily life was thrown into turmoil when Seong Tae-hoon’s two sons ran away.
In the released stills, Seong Tae-hoon’s family heads out with local residents late into the night to look for the children. The Seong family’s eldest, Seong Ji-cheon (Lee Jin-woo), also searches every corner of the village, anxiously scouring far and wide for his younger brothers as his worries boil over.
Previously, Cho Mi-ryeo, who had shown symptoms of breathing difficulty in front of the women’s association members, heads home with Nam Hye-seon (Nam Kwon-a) and Lee Seon-ja (Lee Seon-hee), but is shocked to find the interior in shambles. Her tearful plea to residents for help in tracing her two sons’ whereabouts evokes sympathy.
Meanwhile, Seong Tae-hoon struggles to find the children as he makes the rounds of Yeonri-ri with Wang Dong-sik (Park Seok-won). At one point, Seong Tae-hoon discovers a single shoe belonging to his second son, Seong Ji-sang (Seo Yun-hyeok), in the neighborhood and is seized with anxiety.
As tension peaks on Seong Tae-hoon’s dazed face, something unexpected befalls the runaway Seong Ji-sang and Seong Ji-gu (Yang Woo-hyeok). Whether Seong Tae-hoon and Cho Mi-ryeo can safely find the two boys, and the broadcast that will depict their unpredictable process of adapting to Yeonri-ri, is drawing keen attention.
