Through a meeting with his youngest sibling, Takuya once again opens up about a deep family story.
In KBS 2TV “Men Doing Housework Season 2” (hereafter ‘Salimnam’), airing on the 11th, Takuya, who moved viewers to tears by reuniting with his biological father after 25 years, returns to everyday life and welcomes his youngest sibling who came from Japan.
His youngest sibling, 11 years his junior due to their mother remarrying, pays a visit to his home. Usually inseparable from the sofa, Takuya hurriedly starts cleaning to make a good impression on the sibling, and he personally prepares a heartfelt home-cooked meal, revealing the dependable side of an older brother.
However, the warm reunion is short-lived; as soon as the sibling steps into the house, they unleash a barrage of blunt questions at Takuya. “You only have two schedules a month, so no work then”, “You have saved a lot too, right?” Targeting his bank balance and schedule with sharp fact bombs, the sibling leaves Takuya at a loss for words. In particular, it is reported that he could not hide his embarrassment because the way the sibling fired off questions was a carbon copy of their mother, who had visited Korea last time and filled the air with nagging.
Meanwhile, Takuya for the first time has a deep conversation with the sibling about the fact that they are ‘half siblings’, a truth he had kept as a secret tucked away in his heart. To the sibling who learned of Takuya biological father through the broadcast, Takuya carefully asks how they truly feel, and upon hearing the sibling frank yet mature answer for the first time, Takuya is unable to speak for a while, showing a swirl of mixed emotions.
Viewers can find out what candid feelings the now-grown youngest sibling shares and what confession surprised Takuya on KBS 2 ‘Salimnam’ at 9:20 p.m. on the 11th.
