FOX11 ‘Good Day LA’
The idol group MONSTA X are making waves on the U.S. scene with promotions for their new release.
On the 10th (local time), MONSTA X appeared on FOX11’s morning news and entertainment program ‘Good Day LA (Good Day LA, GDLA)’. Visiting the U.S. to mark the release of their third U.S. studio album ‘Unfold (Unfold)’, they drew global attention by combining a live performance with a wide-ranging conversation.
With anticipation among local fans rising after the announcement of the North American leg of their world tour, Shownu said, “Every time we come to the United States, the fans give us such a passionate welcome that it makes me want to do even better.” Kihyun, recalling their KCON LA stage last year, added, “I loved how we built the stage together with the fans,” revealing his excitement for the tour.
Regarding how ‘Unfold’ makes them the only K-pop artist to have three U.S. studio albums, the members said, “It’s an honor to be able to perform the title track ‘heal (Heal)’ here on GDLA.” They added that ‘heal’ carries the message, “Love is painful, but we love every time. And we cannot live without love.”
When asked about the secret to their tight-knit teamwork, Minhyuk said, “We stay in touch every day, and I think that’s what creates our perfect teamwork.” Kihyun added that even after more than 13 years together, including their trainee days, he sometimes finds himself surprised that they still joke around with one another, creating a warm atmosphere.
Lastly, Jooheon concluded the interview by saying that if he could go back to when they first performed on GDLA seven years ago, he would tell himself, “Stay healthy and always humble, ‘no brain no pain’, just go with the flow.”
MONSTA X performed the title track ‘heal’ from ‘Unfold’ live. With profound emotion and solid vocals, they captivated the scene and, showing excellent synergy, emphasized the song’s stirring, grand appeal, delivering a highly polished performance.
Since releasing ‘Unfold’, MONSTA X have been actively appearing across various local broadcasts and media. With this album, they set a record as the first K-pop artist to release three U.S. studio albums, and they once again proved their global influence as major local outlets such as Billboard (Billboard), Forbes (Forbes), and Access Hollywood (Access Hollywood) took notice.
Following the U.S. release of their new record, MONSTA X will expand the stage of the ‘2026 MONSTA X World Tour [The X : Nexus]’ with a North American tour this October. As they broaden their musical spectrum with the new album and cement their onstage presence through the world tour, expectations are high for their activities.
On the 18th, MONSTA X will continue the ‘2026 MONSTA X World Tour [The X : Nexus] (2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR [THE X : NEXUS])’ with a show in Jakarta, Indonesia.
