Joycity will conduct the final test for the Korean-history MMORPG ‘Imjin War: The Joseon Counterattack’.
The test will run from April 13 to 17, and anyone can participate without a limit on the number of participants by downloading the game from the official website. Joycity plans to use the test to conduct a final check of server stability and to improve the completeness of the service based on feedback from users.
Developed by Redjingko Games, an affiliate of Endream, ‘Imjin War: The Joseon Counterattack’ is the latest title from director Kim Tae-gon, creator of ‘Imjinrok’ and ‘Gersang’. Its hallmark is ‘Encounter Combat’, in which players fight by combining historical heroes such as Yi Sun-sin and Gwon Yul with actual weapons such as the hwacha and Daejanggunjeon.
Players control the movement and attacks of each hero in real time, cooperating with party members to destroy castle gates and capture fortresses in ‘Field Sieges’, and commanding the ships of Joseon and Japan in ‘Naval Battles’, enjoying combat across a variety of battlefields.
It also features an economic ecosystem that closely mirrors a real market environment, enabling players to craft items directly from materials obtained through hunting and gathering and to invest stakes in gathering sites to receive dividends.
During the test period, Joycity will offer a ‘Character Name Reservation’ opportunity that will remain valid after the official launch.
‘Imjin War: The Joseon Counterattack’ is accepting pre-registrations until its official launch.
