KT Rolster race to four straight wins···perfect victories over Nongshim·Hanjin
Dplus KIA savored the joy of defeating Gen.G for the first time in 1,707 days, about five years.
On the 11th, in the Week 2 ‘Saturday Showdown’ of ‘LoL Champions Korea’ (LCK), Dplus KIA swept Gen.G 2-0 in sets, finally earning a win against Gen.G on their 22nd meeting.

The leading figures in ending the long wait for Dplus KIA were top laner ‘Siwoo’ Jeon Si-woo and jungler ‘Lucid’ Choi Yong-hyeok. Both players repeatedly eliminated the enemy core carries throughout the match, giving strength to their teammates. Showing outstanding form, Jeon Si-woo was selected as POM (Player of the Match). Dplus KIA head coach Kim Dae-ho likewise cited the performances of Jeon and Choi as the key factors in the victory.
After the match, Jeon Si-woo said, “I always wanted to win whenever we faced Gen.G,” and added, “Hearing the cheers from fans after the match brought a surge of emotion.”
Having swept powerhouse T1 and Gen.G in Week 1, KT Rolster also solidified first place in Week 2, not dropping a single set against Nongshim RedForce and Hanjin Brion.
In the match against Nongshim RedForce, a rival in the standings, KT Rolster overturned a tight situation on the strength of their top-side trio. In the game against Hanjin Brion, they showed steady focus at every decisive moment, extending their unbeaten run.
The last time KT Rolster achieved four or more straight wins after the start of a regular season was about nine years ago. They hold a record of six consecutive wins following the opening of the 2017 LCK Spring Split.
