BTS has graced the special cover of the May issue of Rolling Stone magazine.
On the 14th, the music magazine Rolling Stone unveiled a group cover of BTS and an interview video. It is the largest project in Rolling Stone history, published simultaneously across 16 countries/regions worldwide, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. One group edition and seven individual member covers will be released, marking the first attempt by a K-pop artist.
In the photo spread, BTS radiates a mature, powerful charisma. By pairing monochrome and denim outfits, they complete a free-spirited yet rebellious atmosphere. With deeper gazes and relaxed poses, the members reveal the presence they have built over more than ten years as global artists.
In the interview, you can glimpse their intense deliberations and traces of growth on the way to returning as a full group after a hiatus. RM explained that the 14 tracks included on the new album ‘Arirang’ (ARIRANG) would be an answer for those wondering ‘What will BTS be in 2026?’. He also emphasized relentless musical experimentation, saying, “If we no longer challenge ourselves, there is no reason to keep the team going.”

The members expressed how precious it is to be back as a team and the strong bond they share. Jin showed steadfast trust in the team, saying, “I have always thought that if I were not with the group, there would be no reason to continue activities.” J-Hope said, “As we complemented one another, we realized again why we had to be seven.” Suga likewise showed a more relaxed side, hoping to work joyfully while taking care of the health of the members rather than being preoccupied only with results.
Jimin stated his resolve: “Among excellent members, I will further raise my capabilities to prove my value and elevate the team as a whole.” V emphasized inner growth, saying, “During my military service, I rebuilt my body and mind, ‘build-up’, and mapped out the next step forward as an artist.” Jungkook confessed that during the hiatus he earnestly longed to perform and dance on stage, revealing that he poured that thirst for the stage into this album.
The Rolling Stone group and individual covers and interviews will be unveiled sequentially at 7 p.m. each day from the 14th to the 20th.
