From idol to farmer, actor Ahn Hyo-seop teases a special healing romance.
A press conference for the new Wednesday-Thursday SBS drama ‘Sold Out Again Today’ was held on the 15th at SBS headquarters in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. In attendance were Ahn Hyo-seop, Chae Won-bin, Kim Bum, and PD Ahn Jong-yeon.
Premiering at 9 p.m. on the 22nd, ‘Sold Out Again Today’ is a romance that unfolds as perfectionist farmer Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo-seop) and sellout-driven home shopping host Dam Ye-jin (Chae Won-bin) become entangled.

PD Ahn introduced it by saying, “Please think of it as a ‘therapy drama.’ Comfort is its weapon,” and added, “You can watch both the script and the actors’ natural performances with ease. I hope we can accompany them on their journey of healing.”
Stepping in as Matthew Lee, a young farmer juggling three jobs, Ahn Hyo-seop said with a laugh, “Matthew Lee is not at ease. He is really busy. From farming to research and development, he also takes on the role of the boss. He is someone who runs without a break,” introducing the character and prompting laughter.
He then explained, “It is about meeting Dam Ye-jin, who is in a similar situation, and becoming rest for each other,” adding, “The characters may look busy and passionate, but as the episodes go on, it will show that you do not have to live that hard every single day.”

Attention is also on whether Ahn Hyo-seop will cement the various hit-making titles surrounding him through this project.
Last year, he voiced Jin-woo of the boy group Saja Boys in Netflix’s ‘K-pop Demon Hunters,’ gaining global popularity; earlier, thanks to the success of SBS’s ‘Business Proposal,’ he rose to ‘rom-com king,’ and having already led five hit lead projects at SBS, he has also been called ‘the son of SBS.’
He said with a smile, “I am embarrassed. I am grateful for the love. I do not believe in the title ‘rom-com king,’” and added, “This work has both romance and comedy, so I had to balance them well. I worked on the details scene by scene with the director.”

Asked whether he felt pressure to deliver another hit, he expressed confidence: “Right now, I am focused solely on ‘Sold Out Again Today,’ and if those kinds of steps help, I am grateful. I do not think anything will change just because I feel pressure. I want to do my best in the present.”
He continued, “At a moment when I had many concerns while working on projects that consumed a lot of emotion, I came across our project and received a lot of healing. There is no special villain, and I related to the way people live day by day,” adding, “It was hot during filming, and I experienced the life of a farmer, feeling the sunlight and the heat. I was always happy whenever I went to the set. I already feel victorious in my heart,” expressing his satisfaction.
Finally, he asked for interest, saying, “I like the weekday slot called ‘Wed-Thu.’ It is in the middle of the week, is it not? I hope our work can be a rest at a moment when you are a bit tired and having a hard time.”
