TV Chosun ‘Doctor Shin’ has unveiled the ‘four people, four colors romance points’ as writer Phoebe’s signature adulterous romance ‘mala-flavor four-way dynamic’ barrels ahead.

The weekend miniseries ‘Doctor Shin’ (written by Phoebe (Im Sung-han)/directed by Lee Seung-hun/produced by TME Group and Scene & Studio) has been winning response with an unprecedented premise of ‘brain change’, the distinctive shock-twist narrative of writer Phoebe, and a destructive romance layered on top. ‘Doctor Shin’ ranked in the TV-drama TOP 7 and the drama TV-OTT search-response TOP 5 for the first week of April in FUNdex by Good Data Corporation, an institute that analyzes K-content competitiveness. In the drama search-issue keyword cast category as well, Jung Yi-chan, Baek Se-ra, and Joo Se-bin continued to sweep the rankings, proving undiminished buzz.

In Act 2 of ‘Doctor Shin’, which began with episode 9, Shin Ju-shin (played by Jung Yi-chan), Geum Bara (played by Joo Se-bin), Momo (played by Baek Se-ra), who carries the brain of Kim Jin-ju (played by Cheon Young-min), and Ha Yong-jung (played by Ahn Woo-yeon) became entangled in a four-way relationship with swapped counterparts, drawing keen attention. In this context, the production shared the spicy ‘romance kick’ points each of the four fired at the other.

▶Romance Point #1. Shin Ju-shin (played by Jung Yi-chan), a shocking straight-shooting proposal! A full-on affection offensive erupts!

When Momo (with Kim Jin-ju’s brain) kept rebelling without revealing the fact that she had miscarried and even asked to break off the engagement, Shin Ju-shin (played by Jung Yi-chan) threw an icy warning and ended it. Momo (played by Baek Se-ra) armed with Kim Jin-ju’s brain functions as the most intriguing and destructive variable in the Phoebe-style adulterous romance of ‘Doctor Shin’. She has the beautiful appearance of top star Momo, but the brain of Kim Jin-ju, a stylist who grew up in an orphanage, is filled with shocking desires and warped instincts. Consumed by a desire for revenge against Geum Bara, who came from the same orphanage, Momo (with Kim Jin-ju’s brain) carried out a spine-chilling provocation toward Ha Yong-jung (played by Ahn Woo-yeon), whom Geum Bara had long harbored a crush on. She exposed that Shin Ju-shin had slapped Ha Yong-jung and revealed the miscarriage, then lunged at Ha Yong-jung with cold calculation, saying, “Please be my older brother. A foster older brother.” All eyes are on whether Momo’s (with Kim Jin-ju’s brain) over-the-line provocations, aimed at Ha Yong-jung with tears and aegyo, will actually succeed.

▶Romance Point #3. Ha Yong-jung (played by Ahn Woo-yeon), eyes dripping with affection! A wordless confession toward Momo with neither reasons nor conditions!

Ha Yong-jung (played by Ahn Woo-yeon) fell head over heels at first sight, yet restrained his feelings and endured because top star Momo was his friend Shin Ju-shin’s woman. Saying, “Even if only for one day, I wish I could be your lover,” Geum Bara’s 100% pure-hearted devotion, declaring she would have no regrets even in death if she could become Ha Yong-jung’s woman, brought viewers to tears. With her steadfast devotion to Ha Yong-jung unbroken while she receives an almost manic love from Shin Ju-shin, anticipation is building over where Geum Bara’s romance will head.
