MBN ‘Nameless Legends’
Seongri of ‘Nameless Legends’ won over viewers with a performance impossible to look away from and a commanding stage presence.
On the broadcast on the 15th, MBN ‘Nameless Legends’ held the third main-round match, ‘National Song Battle’. As the showdown proceeded with songs by four legends—Choi Baek-ho, Jeon Young-rok, Jang Yoon-jung, and Kim Jin-ryong—Seongri and Lee Chang-min, who had faced off in the previous second-round ‘1-on-1 Death Match’, appeared this time on stage as Team Sing-along Nation with Go Young-tae and Hwang Min-woo, drawing viewers attention.
Team Sing-along Nation built the stage with a medley of hits by Jeon Young-rok, a living legend of the pop scene. They unleashed multifaceted charm, from cute retro appeal to sexy charisma, turning the venue into a frenzy.
The opening was refreshing. In the ‘Write Love with a Pencil’ stage, Seongri carried a pencil prop, while the other members appeared with eraser props on their backs, showing off unrivaled cuteness.
In the following ‘My Love, Crybaby’, Seongri fully delivered his signature retro sensibility, bringing smiles. Admiration for his fresh looks and charm flowed from all around. Then the mood flipped in an instant. Through ‘Do Not Forget Me’, he presented an atmospheric, sultry allure that captivated the audience, and in ‘Do Not Look Back’, he and Lee Chang-min delivered a fantastic duet performance, proving solid vocal prowess.

In the duet stage by Hwang Min-woo and Go Young-tae, ‘I Have Always Been Alone’, he stepped out as sturdy performance support, showcasing textbook teamwork. The highlight was ‘Spark’. Team Sing-along Nation unveiled a flamboyant fire-show performance that sent the venue into overdrive. With powerful flames, the members unleashed explosive energy, prompting a full-audience sing-along and bringing the stage to its peak.
Original artist Jeon Young-rok said, “You four brought things to a close today. Thanks to you, this program became ‘Nameless Heroes’. Truly, great work,” offering the highest praise with deep emotion. Judge Jang Yoon-jung focused above all on the growth shown by Seongri. Jang said, “Seongri was always good, but in the time I did not see him, he improved by leaps and bounds, and I was truly astonished,” showering him with unreserved acclaim.
Although some team members made lyric slips, Team Sing-along Nation wrapped up the stage amid hot acclaim and posted a Round 1 Top Pro Team score of 937 points to place second. Depending on the Round 2 ace decider, either all team members advance to the semifinals or become elimination candidates, and the 14 semifinalists will be revealed in the broadcast next week.
Meanwhile, Seongri is further solidifying his standing, showing growth that surpasses limits on every stage while holding the No. 1 spot in the national vote for four consecutive weeks.
