Comedian Yang Sang-guk, appearing on MBC’s ‘Omniscient Interfering View’, introduces his fellow members of KBS’s golden 22nd class.
On today (the 18th)’s broadcast of ‘Omniscient Interfering View’ (hereinafter, ‘Jeonchamsi’), the 22nd-class peers, regarded as KBS’s golden cohort of comedians, all gather for Yang Sang-guk’s housewarming. Having shared ups and downs since their semi-basement days in Yeongdeungpo and built their heyday together, they celebrate Yang Sang-guk’s ‘second heyday’ while keeping the laughs coming with candid revelations.
On this episode, it is revealed that Heo Kyung-hwan once boldly declared early in their careers, “Sang-guk won’t make it,” upending the set. The dramatic reversal arc in which Yang Sang-guk defied Heo’s prediction is also unveiled on air.
Earlier this year, Yang prepared to return to ‘Gag Concert’, but experienced the disappointment of his segment being scrapped. Behind-the-scenes stories about this and even the fateful fortune reading that ushered in his second heyday pique curiosity.
They also share a tender, heartfelt longing for their late peer Park Ji-sun. Yang recounts an anecdote about Park readily extending a helping hand when he was going through financial hardship. The friendship of the 22nd-class peers, who still visit the columbarium together, leaves a lingering resonance.
Yang’s other personahis challenge as a raceris also unveiled. Climbing into a custom-built racing car for his first test run, Yang not only pushes the pace with daring laps, but also meticulously attends to tire warm-up and condition checks, heightening the tension.
Yang Sang-guk’s appealfrom his friendship with his golden-cohort comedian peers to his earnest pursuit as a racercan be seen on MBC’s ‘Jeonchamsi’ at 11:10 p.m. today (the 18th).
