Channel A ‘Heart Signal 5’
As the residents of the ‘Signal House’ are swept up in a love line of utter chaos, the arrival of a new male resident ushers in yet another period of upheaval.
In episode 2 of Channel A’s ‘Heart Signal 5’ (directed by Park Cheol-hwan and Kim Hong-gu), airing at 10 p.m. on Tuesday the 21st, Park Woo-yeol-Kim Seong-min-Kim Seo-won-Kim Min-ju-Jeong Gyu-ri-Kang Yu-gyeong begin living in earnest in the ‘Signal House’, getting to know one another, and a new male resident makes an entrance that causes ripples.
On move-in day, Park Woo-yeol and Jeong Gyu-ri, who had promised a ‘commute carpool’ during a ‘1:1 talk’, ride together side by side on the morning of day two, exuding a rosy vibe. Watching the two brimming with excitement, the celebrity prediction panel dives in, saying, “Wow! What is this~”, “That is a major fox~”, and Yoon Jong-shin marvels at Park Woo-yeol’s flirting skills, saying, “Is he not too smooth?”
Kang Yu-gyeong, who had earlier captured all the male residents and emerged as the ‘unanimous pick’, also approaches Park Woo-yeol, with whom she shared a mutual attraction. She chats with him sweetly, then candidly admits in the ensuing confessional interview, “Honestly, I think I wanted to play the fox a bit.” Later, at a table where everyone is gathered, the two exchange glances only they can read. Catching it with hawk eyes, Kim Eana goes all in, asking, “What is this? Are they having a ‘ssum’ with a fork right now?”, drawing laughter. Tsuki also smiles contentedly, saying, “Oh no. My heart is fluttering~”.
Meanwhile, the male and female residents finally reveal their ages and occupations in turn. First, Kim Seo-won begins, “My age is…”, and upon hearing it, Kim Min-ju gasps, “Gasp!”, covering her mouth. Next, Park Woo-yeol starts, “I am…”, to reveal his identity, and Jeong Gyu-ri looks shocked, her pupils widening. Panelists Kim Eana and Tsuki exclaim, “Oh my God!”, nearly fainting. Curiosity heats up over what the identities of Park Woo-yeol and the six residents that surprised everyone could be.
Elsewhere, a new male resident makes a surprise appearance and upends the romantic landscape. This male resident shows up exuding a head-to-toe ‘teto-nam’ vibe. The panel is amazed by the presence of the ‘catfish’ male, saying, “There is noir!”, and Kang Yu-gyeong shows trembling eyes, saying, “Like someone you only see in dramas…”. Park Woo-yeol also shares his inner thought, “This could get dangerous,” heightening the tension. Anticipation gathers for the full-fledged romance in the ‘Signal House’, which has previewed a ‘dopamine party’ with breakneck developments.
