Actor Lee Yoon-hwan made his presence felt as the Season 2 ‘man of loyalty’ in the Netflix series ‘Sanyanggae-deul’.
In ‘Sanyanggae-deul’, Lee Yoon-hwan took on the role of Sergeant ‘Yoon Han-gu’ of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Criminal Investigation Division and has been active since Season 1. In Season 1, he left a clear impression by helping Geon-woo (played by Woo Do-hwan) with a steadfast presence and keen eye when faced with crisis, and in Season 2 he added synergy to the drama with unwavering loyalty.
In Season 2, as a hair-trigger situation unfolded in which no one could be easily trusted, Yoon Han-gu, called by Min Kang-yong (played by Choi Young-joon), hurried over saying, “If you call, I should come,” bringing a welcome, savior-like relief. He then drew attention by going undercover as a hair salon customer to arrest Im Baek-jeong (played by Jung Ji-hoon), and by engaging in action without hesitation.
Lee Yoon-hwan previously built solid fundamentals through numerous musical theater stages. Starting his full-fledged acting career with Season 1 of ‘Sanyanggae-deul’ in 2023, he proved his potential with steady acting and character portrayal, and through this Season 2 he again left a strong impression on global viewers.
Season 2 of ‘Sanyanggae-deul’ has proven its hot popularity by reaching No. 1 in the Netflix Global Top 10 Non-English Shows by its second week of release. In addition, it not only ranked No. 1 on the ‘Top 10 Series in South Korea’ from its release through the 15th, but also entered Top 10 lists in 80 countries worldwide, continuing an unrelenting run of success.
