Captures from each music show
Tomorrow X Together (TXT)’s 8th mini album has surpassed 1.8 million copies in first-week sales (album sales during the first week from release).
On the 20th, according to Hanteo Chart, an album sales tracking site, Tomorrow X Together (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Hueningkai)’s 8th mini album ‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Stilled for a Moment in the Bramble’ sold a total of 1,806,740 copies during April 13~19, topping the weekly album chart. This exceeds the first-week tally (1,760,867) of their previous 4th full-length album ‘Chapter of the Stars: TOGETHER’. On its first day of release alone, the new album sold nearly 1.36 million copies, instantly becoming a million seller. With this, Tomorrow X Together set a record of seven consecutive first-week million sellers.
Starting with Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’, they have actively promoted the title track ‘Harue Haruman Deo (Stick With You)’ with performances on KBS2’s ‘Music Bank’, MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’, and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’. In music-show interviews, they said, “It’s an album that honestly captures the emotions we’ve felt over the 7 years since debut. Thanks to the fans who support us, we’re carrying on our activities with strength. Please keep watching until the end.”
The performances showcased on music shows have been eliciting a heated response day after day. Tutting moves using the joints of the hands and arms conveyed the song’s poignancy in an intuitive way and left a strong impression. Choreography that uses the legs highlighted the five members’ tall statures, and it drew attention across various social media as the ‘long-legs show-off dance’. Their stable vocals, stage manners, and immersive facial acting displayed the depth befitting a group in its eighth year. In addition, stage production that realized the new album’s concept photos with sets and fluorescent thornbush props heightened immersion in the performance and caught the eye.
As the stages spread by word of mouth, the song is sailing smoothly on domestic and overseas music charts. The title track has maintained the top spot for six days on Bugs’ daily chart dated April 13~18. During the same period, it also appeared on Melon’s daily ‘Top 100’. The new release, which includes six tracks in total, ranked No. 2 on Japan’s Oricon latest chart (dated April 18), the ‘Daily Album Ranking’. After hitting No. 1 on this chart on the day of its local release (dated April 14), it reclaimed the top spot on the April 17 chart, continuing its steady popularity.
Tomorrow X Together continue active promotions as they appear across various platforms such as TV and YouTube. Recently, they drew considerable attention by showcasing their variety sense on YouTube content such as ‘PIXID’, ‘UV Recording Studio’, and ‘Idol Human Theater’. They are slated to appear on MBC FM4U’s ‘Kim Eana’s Starry Night’ on the 21st, YouTube channel ‘Halmyungsoo’ on the 24th, and KBS2’s ‘The Boss’s Ears Are Donkey Ears’ on the 26th.
