Comedian Kim Mi-ryeo revealed an open approach to sex education.

On the 21st, Kim appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel ‘Shin Yeo-seong’ in a video titled ‘A fiery talk by strong women who failed to dial it back’ and candidly shared stories ranging from her first meeting with her husband and their marital relations to sex education for her children.

That day, Kim said, “While we were having sex, I heard the footsteps of the children who had been sleeping,” and explained the situation at the time: “There was not even time to get dressed, so I covered my body with a blanket and scolded them, saying, ‘Go away, Mom and Dad were fighting.’”

She added, “Feeling sorry for having suddenly snapped, I told my fourth-grade daughter honestly, ‘Mom and Dad did it.’” She said her daughter reacted with her mouth wide open in shock.

Kim said she has provided sex education since her children were young, and that she taught her son, “A man should be someone who can buy sanitary pads for a woman.” She also said she naturally explained the concepts of menstruation and menopause.

Hye-Ryeon Cho, hearing this, agreed, saying, “I think it is very good. If you scold children for no reason, they may instead be exposed to incorrect information.”
