The momentum of singer Haru is formidable. On MBN’s ‘Unknown Legend’, he appears to be transforming from a dark horse into the strongest contender. The dream of Haru and the achievements of Unknown Legend are racing toward a single apex. For now, that apex is Unknown Legend. Haru is called by the nickname ‘The Little Prince’. The fan devotion ‘All Day’ is the Saint-Exupry that escorts the ‘Little Prince’.

The Little Prince, in the days when he is merely a ‘boy’, grows through the rose·the fox. Haru too, contrary to his gentle looks, has lived a life that has calloused his heart.

Most people think Haru grew up in a wealthy family from childhood. It is thanks to an ‘aristocratic’ face. He looks like the youngest son, but in reality he is not.

Haru suffered financial hardship from a young age. He had to sustain the household in place of his ailing mother. Part-time jobs came one after another, and even the time to feel the fatigue of life was a luxury for him. He had no time to wipe away his tears, because he had to take on yet another part-time job.

Going back in time, Haru lost his father before he was even three months old. In place of the father who left home, his mother raised him alone. For a woman to earn a living while also caring for her son was like a sentence from heaven. With scarcely any time to care for herself, Haru’s mother eventually fell ill. When Haru was in high school, she was struck by a diagnosis of terminal rectal cancer. Battling disease is hard enough, but seeing her son throw himself onto the front lines of earning a living broke her heart. From then on, Haru had to shoulder his own livelihood. As a downy-cheeked high schooler, he not only did delivery work as a basic job but continued with so many different part-time jobs they could not be counted on one hand, such as the familiar convenience store and bar kitchens.

His mother, who could hardly find the will to live, passed away not long after. Her last words to Haru were, “Do not give up on what you want to do, and live happily.”

In keeping with the will left by his mother, Haru held fast to his dream of becoming a singer. Since then, by day he focused on his studies, and afterward he devoted himself to part-time work and singing practice.

Haru did not arrive here in a single moment. Nor did he grow up in the same environment as others. Yet he overcame all those difficult moments, and as a result, the Haru of today was made.

Haru says, “I will remember the final words my mother left me and, without giving up, I will run to the very end.” He is still awakening his potential through MBN’s ‘Unknown Legend’ and running toward his dream.
