Actor the late Park Dong-bin (birth name Park Jong-mun) is laid to rest. He was 56.

The late Park Dong-bin’s funeral procession was solemnly held at 8:30 a.m. on the 1st at Domin Funeral Hall in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. The burial site is Useong Park Cemetery, via Yongin Pyeongonui Forest.

According to the Pyeongtaek Police Station in Gyeonggi on the 30th of last month, at around 4:25 p.m. on the 29th, an acquaintance found the late Park Dong-bin dead at a restaurant inside a commercial building in Jangan-dong, Pyeongtaek, and reported it to the police. It was conveyed that the place where he died was where he had recently been preparing to open a business, adding to the sorrow.

No suicide note was found at the scene. No signs of a crime, such as foul play, were identified either.

He graduated from Chung-Ang University’s Department of Theater and Film and debuted with the 1996 film ‘The Ginkgo Bed’. He gained recognition with the 1998 film ‘Shiri’ and continued acting steadily, appearing in the films ‘Danjeok Biyeonsu’, ‘Volcano High’, ‘As the Taegukgi Waves’, and ‘The Three Joseon Beauties’, and in the dramas ‘Dae Jo-yeong’, ‘The King and I’, ‘Yain Sidae’, ‘Immortal Yi Sun-sin’, and ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’.

In particular, during his appearance in the 2012 MBC drama ‘I Guess I Loved You’, a scene in which he spat out the orange juice in his mouth upon hearing shocking news went viral online, earning him the nickname ‘Mr. Juice’.

What makes the news of his passing even more heartbreaking is the family he leaves behind. In February 2022, he married actress Lee Sang-i, who is 12 years younger, and they have one daughter. He recently appeared on a program hosted by Dr. Oh Eun-young, revealing that his daughter is battling a congenital complex heart defect and sharing his profound love and parenting concerns, which drew much support from viewers.
