Actor Jung Yi-chan shared behind-the-scenes stories about how his immersion in the character has continued even after filming ‘Doctor Shin’.

Meeting Sports Kyunghyang at the Kyunghyang Shinmun headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 29th of last month, Jung candidly shared behind-the-scenes moments with his co-stars.

He said, “My fellow actors have saved my name in their phones as ‘Director’,” and, “Even when we call, instead of saying ‘Did you have lunch?’, I find myself asking, like Ju-shin, ‘Lunch?’” He added, “Cheon Young-min, who plays Jinju, also answers like her character,” and, “It feels like the method we started to immerse ourselves in the project has naturally continued.”

He also recalled the on-set atmosphere during the tight shooting schedule. Jung said, “Because the schedule was so packed, I often started the day reading the script with puffy eyes, even skipping breakfast,” and, “When we had a brief moment, we would say, ‘Let us photosynthesize’ and bask in the sunlight.” He went on, “Among ourselves on set, we even joked that we were ‘like trainees about to debut.’”

He also shared behind-the-scenes details about specific scenes. Referring to a yacht shoot with Momo, Jung said, “On screen it looked relaxed and warm, but in reality I was shivering from the cold.”
