Super Junior member Leeteuk will join as an MC at the ‘35th Seoul Music Awards’.
The Seoul Music Awards Organizing Committee said on the 6th, “Leeteuk of the group Super Junior has joined as an MC for the ‘35th Seoul Music Awards’ (hereafter ‘Seoul Music Awards’).”
Leeteuk has proven his capabilities as an MC with quick-witted hosting and clever talk across various variety shows and award ceremonies. In particular, having served as an MC at the ‘24th Seoul Music Awards’ in the past, expectations are high for his seasoned hosting at this year at the ‘Seoul Music Awards’.
Super Junior, to which Leeteuk belongs, is a widely recognized ‘legendary idol group’ now in its 22nd debut year. They have released numerous hit songs, including ‘Sorry, Sorry’, ‘Miin-a’, ‘Mr. Simple’(Mister Simple), ‘Black Suit’(Black Suit), and ‘Express Mode’(Express Mode), creating a major sensation as key leaders of the K-pop wave.
In addition, through their proprietary concert brand ‘SUPER SHOW’, they continue to meet fans around the world. The recently held ‘SUPER SHOW 10’ recorded 32 performances, including encores, across 17 regions worldwide, including Seoul, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Manila, and Mexico City. They also became the first overseas group to enter Taipei Dome, proving their unwavering influence.
As the leader of Super Junior, Leeteuk continues to be active across multiple fields. He recently signaled, together with member Kim Hee-chul, the formation of a new unit, Super Junior-83z, with an official debut scheduled for July. Beyond his activities as a singer, his seasoned hosting skills showcase him as an outstanding MC, heightening curiosity about what he will deliver at the ‘Seoul Music Awards’.
Hosted by Sports Seoul and organized by the Seoul Music Awards Organizing Committee, the representative K-pop awards ceremony ‘Seoul Music Awards’ will be held on June 20 at Inspire Arena on Yeongjongdo, Incheon. Ticket reservations will open at 2 p.m. on May 6 via NOL Ticket.
Meanwhile, the global fan vote, which recently completed its second main-round ballot, will begin the final vote at 10 a.m. on May 8 through the Idol Champ app. With the intense scramble for tickets continuing through the second round, interest in the final vote is rising.
