Eunseok of the group RIIZE apologized for using an inappropriate expression.
On the 6th, through a fan communication platform, Eunseok said, “Yesterday, when sending a photo from my childhood, I used an incorrect expression,” and added, “I apologize to those who may have felt uncomfortable due to my short-sightedness and inappropriate choice of words.”
He said, “I recognized my mistake yesterday and deleted it immediately, but thinking of those who may already have been hurt weighed on me, so I am sending another message,” and, “From now on, I will think and act more carefully. I apologize.” He reiterated his apology.

Earlier, on Children’s Day, the 5th, Eunseok shared a photo from his childhood and appended the phrase “kkamdungi.” However, as this expression was received as a disparaging remark toward a particular race, the controversy grew, and Eunseok deleted the message shortly after posting it. As the controversy continued, he ultimately issued a direct apology.
Meanwhile, RIIZE, the group to which Eunseok belongs, will make a comeback with its second mini album on June 15, about seven months later.
