Actor Yoon Kyung-ho expressed gratitude for receiving even greater love following the YouTube web variety show ‘Pinggego’.
At the production presentation for the OTT platform Tving original ‘Becoming a Legend as a Cook Soldier’ (written by Choi Ryong, directed by Jo Nam-hyung), held on the afternoon of the 6th at the Pullman Ambassador Seoul Eastpole in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, Yoon Kyung-ho said, "Lately I have been feeling that I am receiving a lot of love thanks to ‘Pinggego.’ I am grateful to the ‘Pinggego’ production team."
He began, "To be honest, I do feel that way. Because many people enjoy episodes or personal stories from Yoon Kyung-ho as an actor, there are times when, as an actor who used to hide behind roles, I feel embarrassed by the excessive interest in me as a private individual."
He continued, "While I am grateful for those who accept me simply and purely, at times I worry that that color might be applied too strongly to the characters I play."
Nevertheless, he said, "I do not think this kind of love will continue forever. When interest naturally shifts to someone else, interest in me will subside," and "With that mindset, I will gratefully try to adapt well," drawing laughter.
‘Becoming a Legend as a Cook Soldier’ is a military cooking-show fantasy drama that portrays Private Kang Sung-jae (Park Ji-hoon), who wields a kitchen knife instead of a rifle and wears an apron instead of a cartridge belt, as he is reborn as a ‘legendary cook soldier’. It is scheduled to premiere on Tving and tvN at 8:50 p.m. on the 11th.
