Jeon Hyun-moo and GwakTube from “Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3,” together with “trot reigning champion” Hong Ji-yoon and Solji, set off on a food trip in Gimcheon.
In episode 30 of the full-fledged real roadside food-mentary “Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3” (co-produced by MBN·Channel S·SK Broadband), airing at 9:10 p.m. on Friday the 8th, Jeon Hyun-moo and GwakTube (Gwak Jun-bin) head to Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang, which has rapidly emerged as a “hot spot for all generations,” and embark on a food trip with their “eating buddies” Hong Ji-yoon and Solji to capture both excitement and flavor.
Arriving in Gimcheon, Jeon Hyun-moo cranks up the energy, saying, “This place is so hot and hip, with lots of seniors and lots of MZs. It’s Gimcheon!” GwakTube chimes in, “Isn’t this the hottest place in the country because of the festival?” Jeon adds, “I heard that last year alone, 150,000 people visited the “Gimcheon Gimbap Festival,”” heating up the scene with news of its next-level popularity. He continues, “Today, in keeping with Parents’ Day (as of the broadcast date), we’ve invited the perfect “eating buddies.” Two people parents truly love!” introducing “Trot Barbie” Hong Ji-yoon and EXID’s Solji.
After the four exchange warm greetings, Jeon Hyun-moo slyly asks Hong Ji-yoon, “Haven’t we seen each other somewhere else?” She quips back, “I think I’ve seen you a few times somewhere,” drawing laughs. Hong Ji-yoon and Solji then lift the mood by singing a line perfectly suited to the Parents’ Day vibe. As things warm up, they say, “When you think of Gimcheon, isn’t it gimbap?” and pull out mini gimbap they brought themselves. Although it’s a simple combination with only fish cake, pickled radish, and cucumber, it reportedly sells like hotcakes, and the four can’t stop marveling at it. Having first tasted Gimcheon’s gimbap thanks to their warm gesture, the group promptly hurries off in search of their “first real meal.”
