KBS2 miniseries ‘Simu-myeon Yeonri-ri’

In the drama, Park Sung-woong restarts his cabbage research, and Lee Soo-kyung hides her true feelings behind a bright demeanor.

In episode 7 of the KBS2 miniseries ‘Simu-myeon Yeonri-ri’ (directed by Choi Yeon-su / written by Song Jeong-rim, Wang Hye-ji / produced by Sim Story), airing on the 7th at 9:50 p.m., Seong Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong), after checking the seedling test report, restarts his cabbage research and approaches a new truth.

Previously, Seong Tae-hoon tracked down the culprit behind the cabbage field damage with village head Im Ju-hyeong (played by Lee Seo-hwan). Their joint investigation revealed that it was an accident by village elder Lee Mak-rae (played by Cha Hee), who suffers from dementia, and Im Ju-hyeong offered cabbage seedlings he had grown himself as an apology. The two drew closer, but a new unease set in when all the seedling test results relayed by Director Choi (played by Min Sung-wook), Seong Tae-hoon's superior, came back as ‘unsuitable’.

With Director Choi's appearance, Yeonri-ri village begins to buzz, and Seong Tae-hoon launches a re-verification based on the seedlings Im Ju-hyeong provided. Driven by a lifelong commitment to ‘Mat Story’ and cabbages, Seong Tae-hoon starts to track the truth the company is hiding. Whether he can find a clue, curiosity grows about the past links surrounding Yeonri-ri and ‘Mat Story’.

Back home, Seong Tae-hoon faces his wife, Jo Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung). After the news that their eldest son Seong Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jin-woo) has withdrawn from medical school, Jo Mi-ryeo, in shock, keeps up her usual routine doing housework. However, her overly bright demeanor only heightens a sense of unease. What her true feelings are amid the subtle mood, and the conversation the couple shares, will be revealed in the broadcast.
