With ‘Run BTS 2.0,’ BTS confirmed the return of the ‘legend’ as it surpassed 10 million views 10 days after episode 1 was released.
On the 5th, BTS released the final episode of ‘Run BTS BTS’s Trip,’ part of ‘Run BTS 2.0,’ on its YouTube channel and on the global superfan platform Weverse(Weverse). The first episode of this series surpassed 10 million views on YouTube 10 days after release. The second video reached 5 million views in 3 days, making the interest of fans worldwide in a full-lineup variety show palpable.
The members returned to a childlike mindset and played a fiercely competitive foot volleyball game. With a humiliating penalty of ‘standing with hands raised’ and a visit to Bomunsa that would take three hours round trip at stake for the losing team, they fought an intense battle. The tense match went all the way to match point, and with slapstick added in, the atmosphere heated up. Before the game, they shouted slogans to steel themselves, and every time they scored they hugged one another, bringing laughs with a pure, passionate side different from their onstage charisma.
Through a penalty-stacking game, Suga and V were selected to head to Bomunsa. The two returned there for the first time in about 10 years, since 2016. Following in the footsteps of their fresh rookie days, they carefully wrote messages on a roof tile wishing for the success of the new album ‘Arirang’(ARIRANG), reflecting on their beginnings. They said, “It has been 10 years. We came with only the wish that things would go well. And it is still the same now” as they revealed their affection for the team. Traces from their past visit to Bomunsa and the present were captured in a single frame, leaving a gentle afterglow. The members said, “We really laughed a lot. It felt like we came on a trip just with the members, so we loved it. A wish came true,” expressing satisfaction with the first content of ‘Run BTS 2.0.’
As they wrapped up the trip, BTS unpacked a colorful bundle of ‘Run BTS’ themes such as beach volleyball, volleyball, and school experiences, further heightening expectations. Attention now turns to the journey ahead for ‘Run BTS 2.0,’ which proved explosive buzz from the very first episode.
