KBS2 ‘The Problem Children of the Rooftop Room’

Model-turned broadcaster Hong Jin-Kyung revealed on terrestrial television a special connection with singer Lee Hyun-Woo from 32 years ago.

On the 7th, KBS2 ‘The Problem Children of the Rooftop Room’ featured the original trio of ‘eardrum boyfriends’ who dominated the 1990s music scene: Lee Hyun-Woo, Yoon Sang, and Kim Hyun-Chul.

On the show, Hong drew attention by revealing that before debuting as a model, she had been a huge fan of Lee Hyun-Woo. She confessed that, as a high school student, she went to Lee Hyun-Woo’s house about three times.

She even shared, “His manager once gave me a ride and dropped me off at the subway station,” sending the studio into laughter. Hong then confessed that she had gone exactly three times to the front of Lee Hyun-Woo’s house and then stopped going altogether.

Lee Hyun-Woo also said he vividly remembers Hong, who had been a genuine fan of his back then. He said that because Hong was much taller than her peers, she stood out among the fans, and revealed to everyone’s surprise that he had personally given her the nickname ‘Olive’ at the time.

Hong then shared a ‘successful fan’ episode about debuting as a supermodel and unexpectedly reuniting with Lee at the broadcasting station. Lee admitted that he recognized her at a glance the moment he saw her.
