The girl group ITZY (Itzy) will make a comeback in May as the ‘K-pop leading performance queens’ with the new album ‘Motto’.

On the 18th, ITZY will release the new mini album ‘Motto’ and return to their fans. It is their first new release in about six months since the album ‘TUNNEL VISION’ (Tunnel Vision) last November, and their comeback activities continue the strong run of the world tour of the same name that is underway, drawing significant interest from K-pop fans.

Recognized for solid dance skills with the label ‘performance queens’, ITZY showcased abilities befitting the group reputation through the world tour that began in February at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, earning wide acclaim on stages at home and abroad. In particular, ‘THAT’S A NO NO‘ (That is a No No), unveiled for the first time at the Seoul concert, captivated the audience with crisp lines, dynamic energy radiating through their whole bodies, and relaxed stage manners from all five members, gaining the nickname ’Daechu No No‘ (a nickname for ’That’s a No No‘), entering the Melon Top 100 chart and boosting YouTube views of various stage-related videos.

Solo tracks first unveiled at the Seoul concert ‘Pocket (Yeji)’(Pocket), ‘Asylum (Lia)’(Asylum), ‘LOOK (Ryujin)’(Look), ‘Undefined (Chaeryeong)’(Undefined), and ‘Tangerine (Yuna)’(Tangerine) also drew an enthusiastic response, with stages that conveyed five distinct colors and charms, ranging from an emotive mood to a confident attitude. These songs will be included on this album, vividly conveying in audio the heat felt at the shows. The new release features eight tracks in total, including the same-titled title track and the five solo tracks, plus ‘Glitch’(Glitch) and ‘you And I’(You and I), with leading domestic and overseas songwriters such as Sim Eun-ji, Lee Woo-min “collapsedone”, KASS, and Justin Reinstein contributing.

As they sequentially unveil teasing content that stands out for its unique aesthetic, anticipation is rising for the yet-unrevealed title track ‘Motto’ performance. Attention is focused on how they will capture, in the new song choreography, the capabilities built through numerous stages at home and abroad and their further upgraded expressiveness.
