The video heightens immersion with lyrical piano performance paired with Wonpil’s impassioned voice, and his acting, revealing a densely woven emotional line, leaves a lingering resonance. The new song ‘Piano’ begins with a minimal arrangement and gradually fills with diverse sounds, marked by dynamic development. Wonpil wrote the lyrics on his own and also took part in composing, expressing the longing felt after bidding farewell to a loved one.
From the 1st to the 3rd, Wonpil successfully held the three-day solo concert ‘WONPIL SOLO CONCERT ’Unpiltered‘’ at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul. In addition, JYP created a barrier-free environment at the concert so that Wonpil’s voice and sincerity could reach more people, including audience members with hearing limitations. In collaboration with the nonprofit HearCycle, it introduced assistive listening system (Oracast) transmitters and receivers that can deliver audio to receivers without spatial constraints. This carried added meaning as the first implementation of an assistive listening system by a domestic entertainment company.
As anticipation builds for Wonpil’s path alongside music for years to come, his group DAY6 is smoothly carrying out its 10th-anniversary tour ‘The DECADE’, which began on August 30 and 31 last year at Goyang Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi, marking the first-ever standalone engagement there by a domestic band and a full sellout. The momentum continues in Macau on the 9th, in Busan on the 16-17, and in Kobe on June 20-21.
