The crossover group Forestella(Forestella) will meet masterpieces through an immersive media gallery based on the 12 tracks of its 4th studio album.
Forestella(Bae Doo-Hoon, Kang Hyeong-Ho, Cho Min-Gyu, Ko Woo-Rim) will hold the media art exhibition themed on its fourth studio album ‘THE LEGACY (The Legacy)’, titled ‘Legacy ; Second Resonance (Legacy ; Second Resonance)’, at 12 universities and public centers in and outside Korea for about two weeks from the 6th to the 17th.
‘Legacy ; Second Resonance’ will be screened free of charge not only in Korea but also in the Philippines, at Yonsei University main campus and Songdo campus, Inha University, Keimyung University, Chungnam National University, Kyung Hee University, Seocho Youth Center, Seongbuk Cultural Center, Songpa Youth Center, KERIS KERIS(Korea Education and Research Information Service), the Chungnam Office of Education, and the Glam Cafe in the Philippines. Among these, at Keimyung University, an additional screening will run for one week until the 24th.
Forestella will present media art that turns all 12 tracks of the 4th studio album into digital content in this exhibition. The 12 masterpieces previously included in the docent book version of the ‘THE LEGACY’ physical album will be reborn as immersive media content with added digital effects through collaboration with the digital space operation platform company MRAG. As it puts ‘Resonance’ forward as its title, it is expected to offer time to deeply empathize with and enjoy songs by Forestella.
‘THE LEGACY’ is an album in which Forestella reinterprets masterpieces of art and music handed down from the past. Through an exhibition where the masterpieces that actually inspired them and the music completed based on them come together, the group unfolds the album in an audiovisual language. In doing so, it plans to offer fans and visitors a distinctive experience of seeing music with their eyes and hearing paintings with their ears.
With its 4th studio album released last month, ‘THE LEGACY’, Forestella set a new personal record for first-week album sales (tallied over the week after release), marking a ‘career high’. With the 4th studio album tour concert ‘THE LEGACY: SYMPHONY (The Legacy: Symphony)’, the group will visit Seoul on the 9th and 10th after stopping in Ilsan, Incheon on June 6 and 7, and Busan on July 4 and 5.
Further, following the successful completion of the gallery pop-up exhibition ‘Fragments of Legacy (Fragments of Legacy)’ themed on the 4th studio album, Forestella has also confirmed the holding of the expanded-at-home-and-abroad ‘Legacy ; Second Resonance’, steadily broadening its scope of activities.
