On the April 2026 Circle Chart, artists including AKMU (Akmu), Tomorrow X Together, BTS, and NCT WISH topped their respective charts.
The Korea Music Industry Association (formerly Korea Music Content Association), which operates Circle Chart, announced, “On the April monthly Circle Chart, AKMU (Akmu) took six crowns, Tomorrow X Together took two crowns, BTS took No. 1 on the Global K-pop Chart, and NCT WISH took No. 1 on the Retail Album Chart.”
AKMU (Akmu) earned six crowns as the title track ‘Joy, Sorrow, Beautiful Heart’ from its fourth full-length album ‘Blooming’ took No. 1 on the Digital (Circle Index 67,567,986), BGM, V Coloring, Ringtone, and Ringback Tone charts, and the pre-released track ‘Paradise of Rumors’ topped the Streaming Chart. The two songs, infused with AKMU (Akmu)’s unique sensibility, have drawn a strong public response since release.
Tomorrow X Together ranked No. 1 on the Album Chart with ‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Paused Briefly in the Thornbush’ (album sales 1,668,464 copies) and No. 1 on the Download Chart with the album’s title track ‘One More Day in a Day (Stick With You)’, becoming double winners. ‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Paused Briefly in the Thornbush’ is the group’s eighth mini album focusing on the five members’ candid emotions, and the total sales of all releases (CD+Weverse+SMC) under that title within the Album Chart Top 100 amount to 1,934,435 copies.
BTS reclaimed No. 1 on the Global K-pop Chart after nine months with ‘SWIM’, the title track of its fifth full-length album ‘ARIRANG’, and, as ‘BTS’, took No. 1 on Social Chart 3.0 for two consecutive months, achieving two crowns. ‘SWIM’ is a song that sings of keeping on swimming without stopping amid the waves of life.
NCT WISH ranked No. 1 with 306,527 retail sales with its first full-length album ‘Ode to Love - The 1st Album’, which presents an even clearer musical color. The total sales of all releases (CD+SMC) under ‘Ode to Love - The 1st Album’ within the Retail Album Chart Top 50 reached 447,400 copies.
On Social Chart 3.0, which offers an intuitive read on K-pop’s global popularity, the artist with the biggest rise in March was ‘NCT WISH’.
In the concurrently released Week 18 of 2026 (2026.04.26.-2026.05.02.) Circle Chart, AKMU (Akmu) took No. 1 on the Digital, Streaming, V Coloring, Ringtone, and Ringback Tone charts with ‘Paradise of Rumors’, and No. 1 on the BGM Chart with ‘Joy, Sorrow, Beautiful Heart’, claiming six crowns. BTS ranked No. 1 on the Global K-pop Chart with ‘SWIM’; TWS (Tueoseu) topped the Album Chart with ‘5th Mini Album …NO TRAGEDY…’; and NEXZ (Nexz) took No. 1 on the Retail Album Chart with ‘Mmchk’.
Meanwhile, in the Circle Certification album category announced today: ▲4Million: BTS ‘ARIRANG’ ▲1Platinum: P1Harmony ‘UNIQUE’, BTS ‘ARIRANG (Weverse)’, and in the streaming category, DK ‘Sim’, HUNTR/X, EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, REI AMI, and KPop Demon Hunters Cast ‘Golden’ receive certification.
