Actor Kim Min-seok unveiled a bold ratings pledge.

On the afternoon of the 7th, at SBS headquarters in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, a production presentation was held for the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Brave New World” (written by Kang Hyun-joo, directed by Han Tae-seop and Kim Hyun-woo). Director Han Tae-seop and actors Lim Ji-yeon, Heo Nam-jun, Jang Seung-jo, Kim Min-seok, and Lee Se-hee attended.

The actors discussed their target ratings and pledges.

First, Heo Nam-jun said, “As filming was nearing its end, I kept telling the director, ‘I think it will turn out fun,’” and “I think the highest rating will surpass 20%,” expressing confidence.

Jang Seung-jo also said, “Though the beginning may be humble, the end will be grand,” and “At least 10% for sure, and we are also looking at over 15%.”

Lee Se-hee said, “After watching the highlight video, it was more fun than I expected. The director really made it very entertaining,” and “Jang Seung-jo mentioned 15%, and I will add 8% to that. Let us go for 23%,” drawing laughter.

Lim Ji-yeon added, “Given the atmosphere, we should reach 20%,” and “Ratings are important, but I hope it will be remembered for a long time as a good work.”

In particular, Kim Min-seok said, “I have done two SBS miniseries, and at the time I got the ratings prediction right and kept my pledge. I even once walked around Hongdae wearing prison clothes,” eliciting laughter. He continued, “If it exceeds 19%, I will serve as a manager for the reporter who asked the question for two weeks. At this, Lee Se-hee said, “I know how to do makeup,” and “I will do makeup for the reporter,” joining in and sending the room into laughter.

As a pledge for surpassing 20%, Lim Ji-yeon said, “I will wear the hanbok outfit of Kang Dan-sim and hold an event at Gyeongbokgung,” to which Heo Nam-jun replied, “I will also wear the Cha Se-gye outfit from the official poster and join,” and Jang Seung-jo added, “I will wear hanbok as well.”

Meanwhile, the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Brave New World” portrays an enemies-to-lovers romance that unfolds when villainess Kang Dan-sim (played by Lim Ji-yeon) from the Joseon era falls into the present day and becomes entangled with the ruthless chaebol Cha Se-gye (played by Heo Nam-jun). The first broadcast is at 9:50 p.m. on the 9th.
