Singer Seo Young-taek offered comfort to fans with candid stories and a warm sensibility.
On the 6th, Seo Young-taek released the second episode of ‘Seo Young-taek Cafe Allonge’ on his official YouTube channel.
Appearing in a comfortable T-shirt, Seo Young-taek greeted viewers with thanks, saying, “Because you loved the first episode so much, I received great energy and strength.”
This content was structured to present three stories chosen from submissions on the theme of ‘Family Month’.
The first story, ‘Another Form of Love: Letting Go Well’, portrayed the love of a father watching his married daughter. Reading it, Seo Young-taek said, “The story is so warm that it moves me,” recalling the love of his parents. He went on, “Thanks to the love of my parents, I could take on challenges without fear, and I think it also allowed me to devote myself to classical singing.”
The second story, ‘A Love That Embraces Anxiety’, explored love that believes in you. Seo Young-taek said the lines, “If you only hold a child, they cannot learn to walk. Growth is built on anxiety,” left a deep impression, recalling his time on Phantom Singer 4. He added, “Rather than letting anxiety engulf me then, I tried to act first,” and said he believes “anxiety ultimately becomes the engine of growth.”
The final story, ‘Childhood Memories’, captured memories of running around with friends in youth. After hearing it, Seo Young-taek recalled a recent talk with those around him about ‘team picking’ and said, “It is fascinating that expressions differ by region. Please share regional terms in the comments,” drawing laughter.
Wrapping up the stories, Seo Young-taek said, “Perhaps you have grown a bit more used to this content. I think I still need to get more used to it,” and added, “I will work to speak more deftly and to share a wider range of episodes in engaging ways going forward.”
At the end of the video, he performed ‘In the Wondrous Month of May(Im wunderschönen Monat Mai)’ by Robert Schumann. With rich emotion and a smooth, deep vocal tone, Seo Young-taek conveyed a warm atmosphere that suited May and brought the video to a close.
Seo Young-taek is a classical vocalist who has followed an elite track, graduating from the Korea National University of Arts School of Music and the Paris National Conservatory of Music and Dance, and he is winning the love of many fans as a member of the crossover group Fortena. Recently, after the premiere of the musical ‘Stravinsky’, he also joined the revival in the role of Shum, further expanding his presence as a musical actor.
