On the 7th, actress Ki Eun-se issued a statement apologizing after coming under fire over a home repair issue.
Through her agency, Ki Eun-se stated, “Since the complaints arose, we have been in continuous communication with nearby residents and are coordinating matters related to the move and the construction so that no additional inconvenience occurs,” and added, “The contractor is also in steady communication with residents, and we will be even more attentive and manage things so that no inconvenience arises in the area until the work is completed.”
Ki Eun-se also reiterated her apology, saying, “I ask for your understanding for having caused concern.”
Earlier, a user identified as A, who said they were a family member of a resident in Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul, wrote on an online community, “Saying that Ms. Ki Eun-se is moving into the neighborhood where my parents live, they have been renovating for months, and construction vehicles have occupied the alley, making it difficult even for a single car to pass.”
A also wrote, “Construction waste is not being cleaned up, and the construction dates keep being pushed back,” and asked, “It seems they are trying to gloss over this inconvenient situation because she is a celebrity; where does that sense of entitlement that treats the sacrifices of neighboring residents as a given come from?”
Afterward, A explained in an additional post, “I received an apology message from the side of Ki Eun-se,” and, “I hope the construction will be completed smoothly going forward with mutual consideration and without anyone getting into a confrontation.”

We would like to address the reports published today regarding Ms. Ki Eun-se.
About two weeks ago, during interior renovation work at the villa where she is scheduled to move, we became aware that some residents had filed complaints regarding parking inconvenience and cleaning. After recognizing this, we apologized to the resident who raised the issue, completed cleaning of the neighborhood, and took swift action to address difficulties with vehicle passage.
We are also continuing to tidy the site and surrounding areas every day and are paying close attention to maintaining cleanliness.
Since the complaints arose, we have been in continuous communication with nearby residents and are coordinating matters related to the move and the construction to prevent any further inconvenience. At present, the work is proceeding without additional complaints of inconvenience.
The contractor is also maintaining steady communication with residents, and we will be even more attentive and manage the situation so that no inconvenience occurs in the area until the project is completed.
